EMIS offers a 14-day review policy for single copy orders. If the book you have chosen does not meet your needs, please return it immediately for a full refund.

Bookstores & Distributors

Your partnership in the distribution of EMIS publications is appreciated. We value your compliance with our policies, and look forward to an on-going positive working relationship with you in the future. Purchase Orders are accepted for 5 or more books.  Pre-payment is expected for orders of 1 to 4 books. Full payment is expected within 45 days of invoice date.

Returned Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#)

All returns must have a Returned Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) clearly visible on the mailing label or package. All returned books received by EMIS that do not reflect an RMA number will be destroyed. No credit memo will be issued. Authorization and credit will be based on the original invoice date, inventory status and resale condition of the books involved. To obtain an RMA# please call:

Overstock – Returned for Resale

EMIS will accept returned books that are in good, resale condition, for up to 90 days from the invoice date. Resale condition is defined as a book that has no dents, scratches, torn pages or marks on interior pages and no tears or customer labels visible on the cover. A 20% re-stock fee will be applied to overstock returns. A credit memo will be issued upon receipt and evaluation of the returned books.

Damaged or Mis-Shipments

Please notify EMIS immediately of damaged or mis-shipments. If notice is received later than 30 days from the invoice date authorization and credit will be denied. An RMA# will be issued on single book returns upon request. The appropriate replacement book will be shipped immediately at no charge.

Recalled Books

A Recall Notice will be sent to all distributors at least 60 days prior to the release of a new edition. Request to return current stock of the previous edition must be received within 30 days.

An authorized RMA# must be visible on the mailing label or package of all returns. Please call customer service for authorization. A determination will be made at the time of the request to either return or destroy the books. If authorization is given to destroy the books a credit memo will be issued within 30 days of the authorization. You may be asked to confirm your request in writing.
